Night fall had taken hold.
A summers evening coming to a close.
Drinks flowed and we danced as if our lives depended on it.
I traded flirtatious exchanges.
Dancing with friends joy taking hold
No need to drink dopamine my drug of choice
Then a somber nature took over.
She unraveled in front of me.
Sharing parts of herself, she entrusted me.
Opening up part of her heart; I shared mine in return.
Telling her of my story as she also shared hers.
Showing parts of me I left in the dark. I cracked open a part of my heart.
We spoke of holding parts of your heart through the abuse of life. Two misunderstood souls who found home away from home within eachother. Light beams orbiting eachother
Emotions settled in. On the verge of tears emotions to be finally seen no need for other approval I have enough love right here.
There was no need to over explain, repeat multiple times, I was heard the first time. To be seen and not have to over function
To be entrusted with parts of their inner workings.
The universe saying “now when faced with true love what will you do with it.”
